Volunteers

Community Action Opportunities volunteers work in team approach to support our program services or agency activities.

• Resource Room needs volunteers with organizational and computer skills to maintain a wide-range of books, videos, audios and other materials.
  
• Head Start needs volunteers to work with children in the classroom to provide them with individual attention to help children grow and develop a love of leaning that will make them successful in school and in life.
  
• Life Works Self-Sufficiency Program needs volunteers with business skills to provide guidance to volunteers operating a ball park concession stand through the City of Asheville Parks and Recreation Department during the summer.
  
• Weatherization Assistance Program needs individuals and groups to work with crew of staff to weatherize homes in Buncombe and Madison Counties. Most jobs are completed in three days.
